Inventory and recon

What is ACV?

Also called: actual cash value

ACV is what a vehicle is genuinely worth to you today at wholesale, and it is the number a trade should be booked at, whatever the customer was shown.

Over-allowing on a trade to make a deal work does not create value; it moves gross from the front end into a car you now own above market. Booking at real ACV keeps that visible instead of burying it.

Auction data (MMR and the book services) informs ACV, but condition and your own recon estimate decide it.
