What is Form 8300?
Form 8300 reports cash received over $10,000 in one transaction or in related transactions, and dealers must file it within 15 days.
Related transactions count. Structuring payments to stay under the threshold is itself a problem, not a workaround.
You also owe the customer a written statement by January 31 of the following year, and you keep a copy of the filing for five years.
